I moved the position of this insect and put it on a tree branch to get a better background. This insect pose looks as if the dead insect. Why?personally, it was based on the insect’s leg posture. For sure this is not a dead Theodosia. This may happened because I moved the original position of him. It is simply readjusting itself after I placed it on this branch. This insect may feel threatened? also use a reflector to reflect the light to reduce shadow.
Here’s how it pose to me. Finally, this insect begin to adapt and begin to move.
The third picture shows the insects has been sprayed with water (Without any chemical) because it keep moving. Here’s how it pose to me. This may add some artistic value of a photo but I highly did not recommend this method. Stop it!
*This is my hobby to photograph insects especially. But the true fact is that, it was against the macro photographic ethics for this shot (refer to photo no.3). So, time to change. I need to learn and respect my subject. This insect was then released to it natural habitat. BY THE WAY, NO HARMFUL MADE IN THIS SESSION.
